PR Homes was officially formed in 2000 by Paul Calcagno and Rick Benson to continue their home building partnership. Paul and Rick had been working on many projects together since 1993 and found that their knowledge of real estate and construction was very complimentary. We are very committed to building high quality homes that stand the test of time. PR Homes fills a niche in the market for consumers looking for a high quality home at a reasonable price. PR Homes has extensive experience in real estate development, sales, marketing, customer relations, construction and design. Paul and Rick take a very hands on approach to every aspect of the home building process and like to work closely with all parties involved, from the owners, and the architect to all of the subcontractors. We are always there when you need us. We think creating a new home should be an exciting and enjoyable experience and we are committed to making that happen. About the Principals Rick Benson has made his home in Boulder since 1977. Rick is a Licensed General Contractor. He is also an excavation contractor and owns Ram Excavating, Inc. Through his excavation business he has worked on hundreds of single family homes, multi-family dwellings and remodels. Rick has also been a partner in building and supervising the construction of over forty new single family custom and spec homes since 1983. Rick specializes in the nuts and bolts of the construction process including the foundation, framing, utilities, mechanical systems and the grading. He loves the outdoors and enjoys skiing, bicycling, exercising and scuba diving. Paul Calcagno has made his home in Boulder since 1976. He is a Licensed Real Estate Broker in Colorado, practicing in Boulder since 1979. He owns and is the President of Reality Realty of Boulder, Inc. Paul has helped many buyers and sellers over the years find or sell their homes. Paul became interested in new homes as a teenager and built his first home in Boulder in 1984. Since then he has been in partnerships helping to design, build and sell over 66 new custom and spec homes in the City and County of Boulder. Many clients who purchased a home through Paul still live in those homes today. Paul specializes in client relationships, land acquisition, conceptual design, financing and interior design and finishes. His interests include fly fishing, softball, bicycling, swimming and camping.
